DGL Week 4 Recap: Victor Breaks Through at TPC Scottsdale as Divisions Tighten
The Dream Golf League headed to the desert for the Waste Management Open at TPC Scottsdale, a course that rewards fearless play and punishes anything tentative. The stadium atmosphere around 16 may be imaginary for us, but the scoring swings were very real. Several players delivered their best rounds of the season, and the standings across all divisions tightened dramatically.
A Division: John Stays Hot, Richard and Todd Keep Pressure On
A Division saw another week of high‑level golf.
John led the way with a sharp 71, continuing his run of consistent, top‑tier play. He has now posted three straight rounds of 74 or better and looks locked in.
Richard stayed red‑hot with a 73, backed by five birdies and a 297‑yard longest drive. Todd matched him with a 73, leaning on nine fairways and steady iron play.
Nick posted a 74, keeping his season average in elite territory. Matt T and Terence both added 75s, while Phil, Wayne, and Chris rounded out the group between 77 and 83.
A Division takeaway: John and Richard are applying real pressure to Nick. This division is shaping up to be a three‑way battle with Todd lurking.
B Division: Victor Explodes With a 70, Vince and Ryan B Right Behind
TPC Scottsdale belonged to Victor, who fired a brilliant 70, the low round of the entire league this week. Ten greens, five fairways, and four birdies powered his best performance of the season.
Vince delivered a season‑best 72, while Ryan B, Owen, Julian, and Mitch all posted strong rounds between 73 and 75.
Brad added a 79, and Carlos, Will, and Brendan finished between 82 and 86.
B Division takeaway: Victor’s 70 is a statement. The division remains tight, but he now has the momentum and the lowest round of the season in B.
C Division: Jean Luc Leads the Week, Kevin and Ryan T Close Behind
Division C saw one of its most competitive weeks yet.
Jean Luc posted the low round of the division with a 76, showing excellent control and eight fairways hit. It was a strong bounce‑back after Week 3.
Kevin and Ryan T both fired 78, keeping themselves firmly in the hunt. Richie added an 81, while Bjorn, Tim, Bhavika, and Jeff all finished between 83 and 87.
Mark rounded out the division with an 89.
C Division takeaway: Jean Luc takes the week, but the division remains incredibly tight. No one has separated, and the top five players are all within striking distance.
D Division: Daren and Marc Lead the Charge, but the Division Stays Chaotic
Division D delivered another unpredictable week.
Daren and Marc shared the low round of the division with matching 81s, both showing improved form and solid ball striking.
Ravi followed with an 85, while Corey, Ryan A, and Jeff all posted 87s. Mark added an 89, and Matt C and Brenden S matched each other at 90.
Ed rounded out the group with a 91.
D Division takeaway: Daren and Marc take the week, but the division remains a weekly coin flip. No one has separated, and the standings will likely shuffle again next week.
Final Word
TPC Scottsdale delivered fireworks, breakthroughs, and a few much‑needed bounce‑back rounds. Victor’s 70 was the headline, but every division saw movement, momentum, and tightening races.
