DGL Week 5 Recap: Terence Torches Riviera as A Division Dominates the Leaderboard

Riviera Country Club is one of the toughest, most iconic stops on tour. The kikuyu rough, the narrow fairways, the elevated greens, and the famous 10th all played their part. But this week, the DGL saw one of its most impressive top‑to‑bottom performances of the season, highlighted by a career round from Terence.

A Division: Terence Drops a 65, Nick and Richard Stay Elite

This was an A‑Division takeover.

Terence delivered the round of the week and one of the best of the entire season:

  • 65

  • 8 birdies

  • 11 greens in regulation

  • 7 fairways

He dismantled Riviera with precision and confidence. This is a season‑defining round.

Richard and Nick both fired 69s, each with elite ball striking:

  • Richard: 315‑yard LD, 9 GiR

  • Nick: 6 birdies, 11 GiR

John stayed rock‑solid with a 70, continuing his season‑long consistency.

Matt T added a strong 71, giving A Division five of the top five scores this week.

A Division takeaway:
This was dominance. Terence stole the show, but the entire division showed why it’s the deepest group in the league.

B Division: Brad, Julian, and Ryan B Keep the Division Tight

Riviera was tough on B Division, but several players stepped up.

Brad, Julian, and Todd (A) all posted 72, but Brad and Julian led the B‑Division scoring.

Ryan B followed with a strong 73, showing great control with 9 greens and 5 fairways.

Victor added a 74, keeping himself firmly in the season‑long hunt.

Owen, Mitch, Vince, Will, Carlos, and Brendan filled out the middle of the pack between 77 and 84.

B Division takeaway:
No breakout round this week, but the top of the division remains extremely tight. Brad and Julian continue to apply pressure to Victor.

C Division: Kevin Leads the Way, but Riviera Hits Hard

Riviera was not kind to C Division, but a few players held their ground.

Kevin posted the low round of the division with an 81, showing steady play and five fairways hit.

Jeff followed with an 87, while Jean Luc added an 88.

Richie, Bhavika, Ryan T, Tim, and Bjorn all finished between 91 and 96, with Riviera’s greens proving especially punishing.

Ryan A rounded out the group with a 97.

C Division takeaway:
Kevin takes the week, but Riviera exposed the division’s weaknesses. Expect a bounce‑back next week.

D Division: Matt C and Daren Lead the Charge

Division D saw some of its best scoring of the season.

Matt C fired an impressive 82, powered by 2 birdies and solid driving.

Daren matched him with an 83, showing major improvement with 7 greens and 8 fairways.

Brenden S also posted an 83, continuing his upward trend.

Marc and Corey added matching 85s, while Ravi and Mark followed with 89s.

Ed and Kelvin rounded out the division with 94 and 101.

D Division takeaway:
Matt C and Daren take the week, but the division remains tightly packed. Riviera rewarded clean ball striking, and these two delivered.

Final Word

Riviera Country Club delivered everything it’s known for: difficulty, beauty, and separation. Terence’s 65 was the headline, but every division saw meaningful movement.
