Scramble at the Abbey: DGL Teams Tackle Canada’s Most Iconic Fairways

The Dream Golf League headed to Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario for a special scramble round — and the teams delivered. Designed by Jack Nicklaus in 1976 as his first solo project, Glen Abbey has hosted the Canadian Open more than 30 times and remains one of the most storied venues in Canadian golf history. With its stadium-style layout and legendary 18th hole, the course set the stage for teamwork, strategy, and some standout scores.

Nick & Mitch led the way with a scorching 64, combining Nick’s precision and Mitch’s steady play to dominate the field. Just behind them were Vincent & Terence, who posted a sharp 65, showcasing strong chemistry and clutch execution. Brad & Richard rounded out the top three with a 66, proving that power and finesse can go hand-in-hand in scramble format.

Other notable performances included Owen & Carlos with a 68, and Jeff & Terence with a solid 69, both teams showing strong rhythm off the tee and on the greens. Chris & Ed posted a respectable 72, while Brendan & Jean Luc and Julian & Matt matched scores of 73, keeping themselves in the mix.

On the tougher end, Tim & Ted struggled to find their groove, finishing with an 88, while Conner & Kelvin posted an 89, leaving room for improvement in future rounds. Michelle & Bhavika carded an 83, and Sonny & JB followed with an 82, both teams battling through Glen Abbey’s demanding layout.

The scramble format brought a fresh energy to the league, and Glen Abbey’s championship pedigree elevated the stakes. With Nick & Mitch setting the pace and several teams close behind, the Dream Golf League continues to deliver competitive fire and memorable moments on Canada’s most iconic fairways.
